On first listen I'm really struck by the beautiful sparse creepiness of the new jams. (And it sounds like ted stevens is using an auto-wah pedal and actually making it sound good! Salut!) The WOXY stuff, however, sounds great, and they play the same songs so you wouldn't be missing anything if you went the WOXY-exclusive route. Unfortunately, I find the new material boring, and this is coming from a Cursive fan. Granted, it took a while for Happy Hollow to grow on me so I'm still looking forward to the new record.
