As Dan already stated, this year was in fact a disappoint to most of the music scene, with bands like the Arctic Fuckholes not missing an indie convo around the globe, there wasn’t much hope for music in 2006. Alas, a few managed to break through into my tiny, leaking heart, but really, this year was nothing special, so I will be quite brief.
6: The Album Leaf - Into the Blue Again
The most disappointing album of 2006 goes to Jimmy LaValle, but I can’t fault him all the way, I just set my expectations far too high on this one.
5: Mogwai - Mr. Beast
Quality goodness from Mogwai this year with some toned down rock great piano/drums.
4: Beck - The Information
Lovely work from Beck, he’s moved up for me on this release.
3: John Mayer - Continuum
I know what you’re thinking, and fuck you all.
2: Thom Yorke - The Eraser
Amazing solo goodness from Thom Yorke, fuck everyone who put him down on this release.
1: Sparklehorse - Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain
After years of waiting, the goodness was brought back to us in full effect.
